Lewd Act Leads to Arrest

A Hamilton College student is facing misdemeanor charges after he entered a residence and acted in a lewd manner while in the front yard of a residence located on College Street in the Village of Clinton. Daniel R. Mini, age 21, followed two females from their vehicle to the area where they live early Sunday morning April 24th, according to Officer Shawn Occhipinti of the Kirkland Police Department. According to Officer Occhipinti, Mini was told to leave the residence by the female victims but he refused to do so. Occhipinti states that when Mini left the residence but remained on the property he, exposed himself and then committed a lewd act in front of the female victims. Mini was taken into custody while in the front yard of the residence. Mini was uncooperative during the arrest and a taser was deployed to gain compliance and eventually Mini was taken into custody. Mini was charged with the following charges:

One Count- Resisting Arrest, Class “A” Misdemeanor

One Count- Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree, Class “A” Misdemeanor

One Count- Public Lewdness, Class “A” Misdemeanor

Mini was processed and released on appearance tickets. He is due back to the Town of Kirkland Court in May.
